| Painted Lady |
| The Painted Lady has a wing span of approximately 2" to 2 1/2". They are well able to withstand containerization and shipment for release.
They fly low and tend to flutter while flying. Painted Ladies emerge well from release envelopes.

The Monarch butterfly has a wing span of about 4". They are an excellent release butterfly. Their flight is very graceful. The Monarch is strong
and travels well. This butterfly emerges well from the origami envelopes and mass release boxes.

General Information For Butterfly Releases
It's So Easy!
* Butterflies are shipped to you or the person
of your choice overnight delivery.
* Live butterflies will arrive the day before your event (except Monday events, which will arrive the Saturday before. Tuesday events are the most difficult to arrange. They arrive the Saturday before, and you must feed them once. We include instructions -must be mass release. Or they arrive on Tuesday, the day of the release at the customers risk of on time delivery.).
* Store them somewhere cool (air conditioned room
or basement) to keep them in a sleeping state.
* 1 to 2 hours before the event starts, move the
butterflies to a warm, bright place (above 65 degrees,
but not in direct sunlight).
* Butterflies wake up and become alert.
They are now ready to release!

Packaging:
Mass Release:
Butterflies can be packaged
in a decorative box with a small flower
arrangement on the box lid. (We use white
flowers and greenery). Up to 100 Painted Lady butterflies
or up to 50 Monarch butterflies or up to 50 mixed butterflies can be
accommodated in one box. If you
would like your order divided into additional
boxes, there will be a $10 charge for each
extra box to help defer cost.
Personalized Origami Envelopes...
are also available to those
who would like their guests to participate in
the butterfly release. Butterflies are packaged in personalized envelopes
one per envelope for a one time $19 fee.

Guarantee:
We always send a few extra butterflies and we guarantee
you to receive at least as many living butterflies as you have ordered.
In the unlikely event that you would have
problems that would cause you to have less living
butterflies for release than ordered, we would
certainly refund all or part of your money. In the unlikely event
that a problem arises requiring a refund you must make your request for a refund
within 3 days of the event date and butterflies must be returned
to Fragrant Acres within 10 days of the event date.
WE WANT OUR CUSTOMERS TO BE SATISFIED!
We do not recommend releasing butterflies at temperatures below
65 degrees F. as they become sluggish. (Fragrant Acres cannot
guarantee weather conditions)
Cancellation: Orders cancelled 30 days or more before the event date will
receive a refund minus an 8% processing fee. Orders cancelled 7 to 29 days before the event date will receive a 50% refund.
Orders cancelled less than 7 days before the event date will receive a refund of the shipping charges only.
